3/20/2019 0 Comments Full Moon Vernal Equinox RitualSetting intentions with prayer and song and the element of water. Oh, beautiful full moon give us your blessings! Bless these waters. May all who drink from these waters be healed. May we be blessed by the your gentle healing resonance. May we be nourished by your feminine lunar gifts. Thank you, O, Mother Moon. I had scheduled this for next month's full moon but Spirit moved me to write this up and share this prayer with you now after I performed the ritual myself.
There is no wrong way to perform this ritual. Simply connect to the moon in whatever way that feels organic to you. Say out loud what comes forth from Spirit through you, giving your prayer and intention resonance. When you speak out loud, your prayer and intention is made manifest, birthing in sound vibration into the universe from thought into being. Begin by filling a clear vessel with drinking water. The container can be a glass bottle, jar or bowl. A bowl or even a rounded glass carries additional symbolism as a womb-shaped chalice. It can remain uncovered or sealed if you plan to set it outside in the open air and you live in an area where the air is not so pure. I live in an urban area and prefer to have it either sealed and left under the moonlight outside or on a windowsill directly facing the moon’s path. Hold the vessel in your hands against your body. Imagine an umbilical chord of light connect from your navel to the moon. Feel yourself rooted and supported by the Earth Mother. Open your heart and crown to the downward flow of Divine Light. You are connected to the Womb of the Earth and to the Cosmic Womb that Births All. You are connected with the All. Return your focus to the pregnant fullness of the moon. Place your focus on the water that is now receiving these gentle feminine lunar rays of light. Sing to the moon and your water. Begin chanting, toning, or even just humming, a lullaby to the moon. Filling your body and your water with soft feminine vibrations emanating from your soul, weaving a dance with the moonlight. Infusing your honoring ritual with a vibration of love. Say your prayer and set your intention. It can be anything, really. Allow spirit to move you. As you connected to your womb and the moon, it will come to you as truth. What you need here and now will be clear. Trust. Trust yourself and open to receive. Place your water vessel under the moonlight. In the morning, retrieve the water. Bless yourself, anoint your forehead, heart, third eye, lunar third eye - whatever you are called to do. Splash your face with a little water or just drink it and take in the blessings of this gentle feminine resonance. Allow your prayer and intention to be embodied.
